About Me
I am a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard's Data to Actionable Knowledge Lab, working with Prof. Finale Doshi-Velez. My research interests lie in machine learning for human-centered decision-making. I aim to develop methods that can help understand, support, and improve human decision-making behavior, particularly in healthcare settings.
Prior to joining Harvard, I completed my PhD in applied maths at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Prof. Mihaela van der Schaar. After completing my PhD, I interned at Microsoft Research Cambridge and Nokia Bell Labs. My background is in electrical engineering, I hold a BSc from Bilkent University, Turkey.
In my personal life, I am an avid board game player. Currently, my favorite game is Root! I like being active. I was involved with Clare Hall Boat Club while I was in Cambridge, both rowing and coxing – we won blades in May Bumps 2024! I love going on a parkrun and trying out new sports when I have the chance.
